Don't know if this is relevant to your particular loom but it may be worth a read...

Nope I didn't end up doing it, was going to sell the car so i sold the loom, then kept the car and wish I had the loom

how did u wire main beam into yours then, this diagram ive found only shows dipped.. is it a case of just using another relay and wiring it the same as the dipped? when i swop engines ill have a spare loom to play with, im think im going to relocate the battery to the boot at the same time and like everyone else, tidy up the wiring abit.
-
Don't put the battery in the boot - its a bit senseless, there's plenty of room in the engine bay! I wired my main beam up by the same method I did the dipped, just used 2 relays per side each for the main + dipped beam, but I could have got away with simply using 2 relays total, but the risk with that is if 1 relay fails, you lose entire lights on both sides, mine is just setup with a little more redundancy.
Don't use the standard loom - it defies the whole point of it being uprated! Just get some 12v 20A 16 AWG (240W Handling) wire and a 40A relay, that will do the trick perfect, even when running 100W bulbs. Tidying the wiring is something I'm going to be doing with my car, I'm just going to use fabric tape like they use on new cars

i probably go for just 2 relays, if it goes and i loose all lights then so be it  .. i guess its another spare relay for me to carry. cheers for the advice dude.
