That sounds like a good deal to me, providing it in good condition. Chances are you will probably want to do a few mods to it, so take this into account when you check it over.
The sportllines are a great model. And with a few minor changes, can really stand out from the crowd. The Recaros wear well, so should not have the usual bolster damage, especially at only 70,000 miles. Have a thorough look over the hood, as these arent cheap to replace.
I've had mine for a few years, and it belonged to my brother-in-law before me, so I've known it for the past 10 years, and am not aware of any major problems.

what colour is it? black or red? I think the red is the nicer as it looks amazing when its clean and polished

Sounds like a pretty good deal to me, bite her hand off providing it's in good condition and really has only had one owner.

Where's she selling it ? I might ring her up myself !!!

To be honest, if it's as good as it sounds is easily worth the money they are asking, it depends on how desperate they are to sell and how much you want it. I'd be surprised if it's for sale next week though. Offer them less in cold hard cash there and then though and they may just crumble. Good luck.

hmm

I bought my M redge golf mk3 cab Avantgarde 2.0 for ?4000 with 40k on the clock. One lady owner. Totally mint hardly broken in engine. ?3000 for a 1991 model seems a tad steep ??
