i've been told that if i buy some gunk remover and scrub my engine with that, then cover up few electrical bit and jet wash she sh*t off, that wud be ok... really confused cos i've also been told under no circumstances do i jet was my engine...ever. but that was with my ford so im guessin thats cos the engine would fall out.
so is it ok to jet was a digifant, providing i'm careful?

i had my engine steam cleaned by John from John Mitchell racing and it looks amazing for it! just make sure you dress the engine bay after with a suitable spray to protect it.

WD40 does a good job of this

yeah jetwash it! leave the engine running and don't spray directly on spark plugs etc, i do it all the time. the heat of the engine will evaporate it quickly and when running it'll be hard to make it stall. just take it easy.

hen you say spray then engine bay? do you mean conponents or the actual framework...or both? sorry, never done this before

both spray it all over the shop! if you go to a garage with a hot jetwash then it'll come up even better on all the crappy wax, which has done a greta job of protecting things so far, but looks grimey!

sweet, i'll take it to local morrisons then an have a blast heh! saves making ma front drive all black cs there is a hell of a lot of sh*t under zie bonnet

it'll be fine but don't blame me if you f**k your engine up!!! just a bit of insurance for myself there! :P i've done it loads of times, just keep the engine running and it should be ok.
