Dont know if any of you can shed some light, but my clutch on my valver bites right at the end, ie when the clutch pedal is nearly all the way out, I thought this was a sign its on its last legs, but someone has said I can adjust this, it doesnt slip, so can I adjust it?
Anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks

i would say if it starts to bite right at the end it is just abit warn lol

mine bites at the top and slips, im guessing you need a new clutch like me.It'll only be a matter of time till it starts slipping.

Mine does the same however I have a new clutch.. was also told that I could adjust it but some mk2's came with self adjusting cables (which is what I have) so I can't adjust mine :(
-
mine is the same, feels to engage right at the top but no slip, get a bit of clutch slap every now and again though. Was going to try cable first, been told that a manual one from a non gti would fit, anyone know what model its from?

1st thing to try is a new manual adjust cable, if that dont help then a new one is in order! The self-adjust cables are a bit pants, and cost a fortune!

my car's going in to have clutch done tomorow...i cant afford to get 'em to do the cable. is it a simple job at home? i'll get a manual cable...
