-
you aint left anything under there that aint meant to be there??

-
no m8 no screwdrivers anything like that.i have done that in the past through ::)
-
does the catch where the lock goes move from side to side?? wd40 it??
p.s u have a message from me in ur message box too
-
its like msn here but only slower ;D no sliding the catch stays open ???
-
use chat top right corner easier to chat in there, im sure that catch should move, as u puu the cable it pulls it away from the lock opening the bonnet
-
the spring has probally gone, look in the hole and if you cant see the catch then the spring aint pullin it back!
MInes been gone for a while, i just reach my thinger in and pull the catch across and then slam it shut!!! ;D
-
adjust the spring on the bonnet. i unscrewed it anti-clockwise using a flat head screwdriver and a spanner.
shuts with one finger now 8)
-
Not being funny but have you made sure the latch to open the bonnet is pushed backwards fully towards the pedals.
-
you might find the spring has snapped, happened on mine, it had just rusted over the past decade then finally gave up the ghost a few months back
i just went and got a replacment spring from a motor factors shop
haynes details it well - u need to take the grille of to get access to the mechaniism
-
yes it will be that the handle isn't pushed back i spent about an hour taking mine off and lubing last week to find i just had not pushed the handle back. i felt like a right twit but one less job to do in the future i suppose!
