My drivers seat sits at a angle on close investgation there is a fracture to fix it I was wondering if the Escort/Fiesta RS Turbo Recaros are the same and what I could do is swap the upholstry over, as it would be a nightmare to find the exact trim again. Are there any other AVWG seats that are the same as the Sportline Recaros frame wise.

will it not weld ?
It will remain cock-eyed then

ahhh , just thought it was broken and needed welding back where it was , my bad

I think you will find that the mk2 recaro seats or even a mk2 16v rainbow are the same set-up as your seats. Welding won't help, it will give way again, I've seen this happen too many times...
do a search for mk2 16v seats for sale and get picture of the bottom of the seats from seller to confirm set-up and then buy the worst seat possible with a great frame and swop them over...

Will I get away with just swapping the runners over or will I need to swap the whole upholstry over if I need to do this there could be a problem because there are 2 latches on the seat that you use to let the rear passenger in and I have not seen any of these for sale I hope I can get away with just the runners..
-
if you take pictures of the bottom of the seat I will confirm if you can get away with this or not... I am sure you can get away with taking the bottom frame off without having to affect the seat levers and cables..
I would ask some of the mk2 boys (Joe.. or Lewy) as well as I know a few on here have taken seats apart and know mk2 seats better than I (sportlines had mk2 seats installed in them, compared to other cabs had mk1's)
-
no good trying to swap the upholstery as the sport line trim is 1 on its own
get a base from a siroco or mk2 golf
