Title: dimensions of side stripes on a mk1 golf gti?

hey guys

can someone fill me in on the dimensions of the side stripes on a mk1 gti?

i presume they start from just below the lower swaige line.
so i need:

a - width of thick stripe
b - distance between thick and thin stripes
c - width of thin stripe

i am gonna paint mine on

once i have these dimensions i will put them on the above pic. might make a useful guide for someone else.

Sorry for being a gonk, but do you mean the black and/or chrome plastic trim that clicks on and off, the three vits each side?

no mate, the side stripes. the thick and thin ones that sit between the lower swaige line and the sill

Yeah..but im a simpleton ruler.. :laugh:
okies..i got u a pic but its on me fone and i cant d/l it until i get home..however..the dimensions i got were..
 (a)large - 4.4cm, (b)space 1.6cm and (c)lower one 1cm..
Unless anyone knows any differently? :undecided:
Think bloke also has a set if you get stuck :smiley:
