Got my springs ready to lower my mk2. exactly what do i need in order of spanners to lower the car f+r? i know i need spring compressors, jack etc, just not too sure on the spannerage. any help appreciated.

You are going to need a swan neck ring spanner (22mm i think) or a suitably bodged socket for the fronts! As well as an allen key to stop the shock spinning whilst undoing the top nut.
^That is the most awkward bit of the job if things don't want to come undone!
Then i think it is a 19mm for the bolts that hold the shock body to the hubs. Possibly a 17mm for the rear top mounts.

spark plug socket, with spanner that fits, and allen key, I found this the best solution for getting the fronts out.
Also you'll need the strut nut tool, otherwise its a ballache to get the nut off! I get a complete VAG set of ebay for about a tenner.
19mm and 17mm spanners sockets mole grips to stop the rear struts turning.
I think thats about it!

You can also use a vortex socket for the fronts- makes life much easier. Make sure that you leave a block under the rear discs when you have the wheels off- don't want to dent them like a mate of mine did when they crashed down!
