Title: Sticky Throttle
Post by: tallpaulr on 27 April 2007, 12:26
It's a problem I've had since getting my 16v, if I gradually nail the throttle there's no problem, but if I plant it every now and again the throttle sticks open and takes forever to loose the revs. As you can appreciate it's not a good thing when your car won't do as it's told!!!

Any idea's?

I tried that and disconnected tthe throttle cable and drowned it in WD as well to see if it was catching in there but it didn't make any difference.

When you pull on the cable when it was disconnected it felt free enough so i don't think it was that
