keep the badges mate

i used to make 3 bar badgeless grilles for r and a design about 10 years ago.
they were badgeless. i was sick of them in the end. manky things!!!

but anyway the chrome vw badge on the front grille on a mk1 looks dope

and the rear badges just look cool!!!

wear em with pride!

I've always taken them off the front of all my dubs (mk1, mk2, corrado and now the cab) as I think it helps clean up the front end and makes them look wider - I'll be leaving them on the back of my Riave though as I will put it back to standard when the time comes to sell her on :D

Debadge the rear hatch but leave the standard front grille, just spray the badge black. Next step t cross hers and youve got a mean badgeless GTi

 :)

you need to think about what look you want the car to be - clean all around (remove badges and chrome) or do you go the classic look with a clean look - all badges off expect the front grill one, or go all badges standard and go bling bling as well with chrome.....

I've tried various set ups and to be honest I liked them all, but ended up with classic mk1 look with smoothed off badges, other than the front grill sign.... have a look at some of the show pictures to give you more idea's of the finished results....

whats the body work like under the bumpers? if its mint then dump those bumpers and get some small ones, think it would look sweet as with chrome ones!

Yeh would look sweet, but i'm a student so cash flow is a problem running a mk1 and doing a degree! - As for the condition the current bumpers have scratched some of the bodywork underneith. I'm trying to save up so I can get some chrome bumpers and have the scratches caused by the big bumpers removed at the same time.

(it's not bad - just not perfect ;) )
