Anyone got any pics? Not seen any floating around. Thanks
-
They'll be the same as the standard GTI/.:R32, but obviously with the tartan cloth, and contrasting stitching.
-
but with leather though? (as per the fronts)
-
Same as the fronts Interlagos centres, leather with red stitching down the sides and between the seats.

-
sorry mines full leather not the same as a scotsmans jockey shorts!, and doesnt have red stitching, if you want a rear pic of full leather barlimow, then i can take one for you
-
Thanks folks (especially BMX), very helpful
Phil, I was just after a pic of the Ed30 seats, so not the full leather - but interested to know your thoughts on the leather, as my mate's considering speccing a new GTi with leather and I mentioned I'd seen some pretty bad wear (saggy etc) on some fairly low-mileage Golf's so interested to know how you've found yours, cheers.
-
Seats on the ED30 are excellent, good compromise between leather and cloth. Oh and they are heated

Well so far, have done 13000 miles in mine and so far no wear signs at all , the main wear area's would be the side bolsters but there isnt any at all as i regually wax them fourtnightly and they are soft as a baby's ass still and look good as new.

Which type of leather wax do you use?

Cough .........only joking

Yes your right Tagnut, and what great stuff that is!!! :smug:
oh yeah and its Autoglym leather care is what i regually wax by bum with.
-
You don't find that it "bungs up" or clogs the stitching the stitching?
I was thinking of using it on my seats. But I suppose that I will have to keep it away from the red stitching.
-
yes , maybe be tricky for all those owners with red stitching, it might well dis-colour it so wouldnt recomend it.
-
liquid leather is really good, no buffing required and it keeps the matte finish

That sounds just like what I need, easy to use. Is it available from Halfrauds and the like, or only through mail order?
BTW, I'm not a big fan of the AutoGlym leather care range - as I find it tends to "tighten" up leather - which may be fine on old saggy leathers (and may also be fine on the standard GTI seats), but it 'll be no good on really snug leather on my RS buckets. It wasn't really any good on the leather Recaros in my last S4 either.
-
TT I use Zymol leather care and have found it excellent. If you buy the pack it comes with a liquid cleaner and the leather care itself. As is usual with Zymol, its high quality stuff and does not leave any marks in the stitching like other leather care products. I think you can order it on the Vertar site. :smug:

he sells cleaner, conditioner etc....
-
OK, thanks.
So it's either Zymol or Liquid Leather ??
-
i would say liquid leather, it smells like leather and does a briliant job, i was very suprised how it gave the matte finish back  i tried the audi leather care and also the autoglym one and found they made the seats shiny. ive never tried the zymol stuff, but theircar shampoo smells great, like being on holiday smell

www.liquidleather.com
Excellent stuff, wouldn't use anything else on my leather.

-
Not as bad as I thought, looks reasonably , but I'll still call you a Chav for putting it on.
-
ok ive ordered some aswell!! bargain £4.50, have an idea to fit them on the car rather then the glass if they stick.
-
Go to the golfgti.co.uk shop!! From the home page.
-
You can get them off this website's shop section :nerd:
The sticker isn't actually one sticker, but individual letters on a backing sheet, which once on look like a window etching as each letter shimmers.
I've got one on each rear quarter window and one in the middle of the rear window under the brake light. With my rears being tinted it looks a little more subtle too as you can only see them up close and personal.
I'm sure the site associates and moderators will approve
