Title: Hello please be kind to a Clipper owner...

Bought the missus an 88 Clipper for her birthday (I used to own a CC Cab a while back) So I guess I'll be asking a lot of Mk1 non-injection newbie questions...

Will bung some pics in the Mk1 section...

Oh I have a Corrado 16v daily and an 82 Rocco Gti hiding from the world in a lock up...

Martinb don't worry it was also for me the Cat C question, we both passed up on the car as something just wasn't right.... However if there is a way of checking I'd still be interested to see why it was given Cat C when it was taken and recovered with keys and no damage...

Yeah that's where the Notch Photo was taken (ripped from the old RTTS Site gallery).. not since 2001 though, too many boyz in their Saxos...and waterpistols filled with dubious fluids (one gimp even filled his with what appeared to be brake fluid judging by some of teh damage I saw)

Thank you. :afro: Not sure what the wheels are as they were on when I bought it as it had been restored by it's previous owner. They are 17 inch though and they need to be to go round the 355mm disk brakes. :grin: I wish they were that big because I was running a silly engine, but unfortunately it's just a 1641. Another pic of it here at VW Festival in Leeds last year on the Golfgti.co.uk stand as the clutch had gone one my old mk1 the day before.

Yes there were a couple of years when it went a bit chavvy, but its got better again now.
Were you ever in the old egroup?
To my shame I was featured in the old Gallery several times!

Dunno why they're just Photobucket's ... :undecided:

Notch was White over Burgundy/purple pearl type thing (never did find out what it was) slammed on Pedrinis.
