Title: Antifreeze

Whats best advice these days?

I am doing a coolant repair and the system is half drained.
The existing coolant is pink!
Couple of questions.
Is it ok to mix with the stuff thats generally available (blue)
Or should I flush it all out and refill with new.
Also what is recommended in VW's? Half water or all coolant?

Hi
Never mix two colours
If you cant get the pink stuff, then drain it all out and use G12+ which is purple
Half and the rest distilled water

Either use G12 from http://www.gsfcarparts.com or http://www.vwspares.co.uk, or G12+ from VW.  VWSpares sell G12+ as well :)

G12 (pink) and G11 (blue) dont mix, but G12+ (purple) mixes with both G11 & G12 :)
