Hi all,
Can you assist?
Someone at work owns a MK4 golf 1.6 SE (new ish )
They are hearing clunging noises when they change gear, and a creaking noise from the rear of the car when they drive over uneven roads.
Any ideas what the noises can be?
Cheers :)

noises!!!! hhhmmmmm, the rear end could be the bearings/bushes in the rear beam, or spring or damper, cant really narrow it down, take a can of wd40 and spray areas mentioned (dont get any on brakes) then see if noise disappears!, clunking noises when changing gear, are they pressin clutch pedal??, sound stupid i know but some peeps get lazy and dont fully depress the clutch then wonder why they have difficulty changing gear, if not that then a clutch/gearbox prob???or broken engine mount causing engine to rick when changing gear??
