im sellin it privatly. i know theres plenty of interest in it around here as iv heard people talk about it so shouldnt have too many probs sellin it. Il take all the hairdresser comments that can be thrown at me, especially when im driving round the beautiful guernsey coast roads with the roof down!

My love will always be vw's and iv no doubt il have them again one day but this was too good to miss! Pics on saturday hopefully

I have had ample hairdresser comments but as the roof folds into the boot and im lookin all smug il take it!

here's some pics i took before work. Needs a clean but otherwise i love how standard it is. From mk3 to 3series.

so what do you think? its a 93 lux model, its only done 72k, has full service history, got a couple of bits I'l iron out like the drivers seat bolster and perhaps some up to date lighting but otherwise Im happy. So i suppose it's gues the price time.

I am well pleased with it. I bought it with every intention of keepin it fairly standard. Perhaps a few subtle changes like updating the lights and tidying a few bits up here and there but i love it. Although some bbs splits and coilovers are tempting in time. :smug:

Yeah it is in good order. Needs some attention in a few places but for its age i was impressed. The hood is pretty good. Needs some encouragement here and there but in time il get that seen to. Its hardly been used tho so i recon its just a bit stiff in places. Good advice about the rear headrests, where the hell will i find some of those tho!?!

Its cost me 2grand. For the condition and with all the toys, as well as service history, leather and the electric hood I think i did well. Plus only 72K on the clock!

After only 2 hours of having signs in the window the golf sold for £2250! Can you even believe Iv made a profit!!!!!

Couple of quick questions tho...

1 how do I remove the seats from the golf to replace clips so they dont wobble any more

2 Does anyone have a spare pair of mirror adjustors and a manual window winder they want to sell? I have cash waiting.

Yeah I thought the same. It did look superb and had had pleanty of love and cash thrown at it but after all that it was a 14 year old car that was starting to rust, had 143k on the clock and had no service history! With it only being a 1.4 aswell i think iv done quite nicely. The bm is so much fun to drive, especially with the roof down. im goin to keep my eye out for a mk2 to use for the winter though, can't stand bein dubless for long

Title: Re: left the VW community
Post by: golfpro on 04 May 2007, 14:46
an 8v gti would be ideal, depends how reliable (read cold) the bimmer turns out to be. Just seen some gorgous bbs rm's on ebay, wish i hadnt looked now!
