Title: Mk4 6x9?

Hi guys

I am having a little problem i have my golf and i want to put 6x9's in the back on the parcel shelf, I cant seem to find a gromit hole to put the wire onto the battery do you drill your own or am i missing something? another quick one where do you tuck the wires because the carpet seems rather stuck down to me if you could help me this would be great thanks alot Sean

Pull up back seats, feed down side of car under the black strip, if you dont know what I mean when I go home il get some pics.

mk4s are probably different though because the writer of the above post was having problems too. try PMing him to see if he managed to sort it out?

Yeh cheers sorted out the black strip business :cool: just stuck with the gromit now its sealed well a bit too well to open up yeh i will need a proper bettery feed so may have to drill any other ideas for this anyone?

there must be a way without drilling according to my above link and i would avoid drilling at all costs. but thats just me. its entirely up to you.

hi guys

The substantional gromit can be taken out if you put your hand up behind the glovebox and to the left you can feel it and you can see it move on the other side of someone looks so i can now have very tidy wiring :grin: thanks to Ashmond and tommy3kab for there help  :wink:

glad you got it sorted without drilling, its always a bad idea to start taking paint off in any way, even if it is only just a small hole, rust doesnt mind! in my experience i have found nothing that can compare to the manufacture paint, they make a good job of it, ive seen supposedly 'pro' respray jobs fall apart after a very short time.

just a quick one i invested in a jbl gt1260 limited edition 12" sub with box, WOW a phenomenal sub and very nice metal classy box it made my mate have a nose bleed in the back a bit messy,its only a 1000w peak and 250 rms do truely recomend for 80 quid
