i have a mk3 gti i have 15 inch standard rims but i think they have too big tyres on them what should they be i have 205/60/15 cheers

Sure this will get moved to the correct section by a Mod when they get round to seeing it! :rolleyes:
Not sure but I think the standard size is 195/50.
But as your car is totally mint surely it tells you in the owners manual?

the book says either
195/50/15 or
205/50/15
either way i got the wrong size on the car

i dont think it would make that much difference it was my grandads he never used it hence the low milage

Well obviously your Grandad got conned when the tyres were changed.
Any receipts for that work? If ya know where it was done then send the boys round!

my tyres on my standard 15's were 205/50/15

iv just had new front tyres from vw garage and its 205/50/15 for a vw golf GTI, i had to quiery them because im not a wiz on tyre i thoght they shoul b 205/50/16 because the rim when u mesaure it, its 16" lol

15" is standard.

lol either way i got a 60 wall tyre which is wrong so i better save up for 4 new tyres

195/50/15 on 8v mk3's
205/50/15 on 16v's & vr6's
215/45/16 on anniversary split rims.
