Title: Engine Codes

I've seen  different engine codes mentioned all over the place - AGG, etc.  How do I know what code applies to my engine?

MK3 GTI 8valve will be either AGG or ADY.Earlier ones were the Passat engine code of 2E,usually found on K/L reg models.16valve engines will be ABF though.
