these guys will put one in an existing wing...bit chavvy but have been around for ages and did a few of my mates cars. top quality work too.
-
Thanks joe but thats what I didnt wanna do. Because that wind has a few dents and a bad rust patch down at the sill level I wanted to replace the whole thing.
Yes I have seen the inserts - Awesome do them. And yes I can weld. Arc and Mig.
Just didnt wanna go that route
-
dont venom do vented wings? tried them?
-
get a new wing, send it to cool louvres and get it painted along with the rest of the car?
-
No not tried venom - they didnt come up in my searches.
Yes joe but thats gonna take time I dont really have! But with new problems I'm beginning to be resigned to not finishing the car very soon!
-
Just tried Venom - nothing online.
-
Well I have just received an email that confirms the worst!
The german supplier has discontinued that item!
Blooming Krauts!
Ah well plan B, but dont know what that is yet!
-
why not make your own its not hard and will save a lot of time and effort?
-
The whole idea was a replacement wing with the vents in. Minimal work for me and less work for the bodyshop guy who has to take out some dents and deal with a bit of rust.
Yes I have had many suggestions about attacking it with my angle grinder!
I mean if I wanted to I could cut my name into it!
But that would be crass!
-
i kno wot you mean mate!!!

Have eventually managed to get a call back from Venom.
Same story, the german suppliers have discontinued them and they have no stock left.
have an option with Hardcor3, which is a possibilty!
