Title: MK2 Water temp

Hey all

Just got my Golf back from my girlfriends house yesterday, and when i was at home today, i realised the water temperature meter on the dash isnt working. I checked the water level under the bonnet and it was empty  :undecided:

Luckily it didn't overheat. I'm no whizz with cars (starting to learn on this Golf), but is this something i can fix myself?

depends where the water is leaking into. also what engine/model is it?
