not alot you can do cheaply to tweak a mk3 engine apart from the airfilter LOL
-
Golf GTI 8V should top out at 124mph from VW specs..
-
And a 16v tops out at 137mph! Or so I'm told.
-
Thats not very impressive, i can get 110 out of my 1.4 at a push?!?! Mind you torque does it for me, not speed :D got 140 out my GT-Four though :D
-
hehe
got 156 out of my R, and some have got 168 coming back from france

Giffy a simple thing to do that dont cost jack would be to drill your air box you dont get any more power but you will get a nice induction roar that makes you think your going faster....
-
Ah but does he have a drill?
-
do what Homer did in the Simpsons
use a pick axe to make "speed holes" in his bonnet
-
hey! I could do that for my vented wing!
-
-
its all good now guys, got paid on fri so a nice new pippercross viper is on its way

Im sure theres a thread somewhere showing RR print outs that confirmed that a panel filter and drilled air box was more beneficial than a cone filter. Ill see if i can dig it out
-
A drilled air box and panel filter is more beneficial than a standard induction kit but the viper is a sealed unit with a external cold air feed so should be more benefical due to not taking in as much hot air.
