Title: 190bhp 16v mk3?
Post by: sellers on 22 April 2007, 09:27
I'm, after getting around 190bhp form my mk3 valver,  not really into doing any head work, is it possible from chip, cams, 4into1 manifold, de-cat, S/S exhaust and a pannel filter?

Thanks

NO!

That work will get you around 175bhp.

To get 190 you will have to do headwork, vlaves/flow/cams etc.

O cmon Len

So your saying a 150bhp 16v, with all that will only make 175? don't spoil my dreams

surely? realistically?

De-cat - 7bhp
S/S exhaust - 4bhp
4 into 1 - 7bhp
Chip - 10bhp
cams - 12bhp

The 4 into 1 and the de-cat pipe wont make much difference. You could leave them alone.

If you are doing cams then why not do the headwork as well? Without the head flowing the cams wont work properly anyway!
