On my mk4,the digital dispaly where you can see the clock,MPG,distance etc.is also saying  MFA 1.
What does this mean,if anything.

there are two computers; one is the trip computer and the other is a long term average computer.  to change between the two press the button on the bottom of the wiper stalk.

have you read the owners manual that came with the car?
