Hi Guys,
I searched but nothing came up.
Has anyone removed or had dealings with the new RCD200 headunit? I bought a set of 4 keys off of Ebay but I can't get the unit out. I want to connect things to it if possible but it's the first head unit to stump me!
All help greatfully received.

its about a mk3 but it may be similar, dizzie says, about halfway down the first page about some screws behind the air vents.

Thanks mate.
I'll put pics up - the RCD200 is a VW standard double din unit used in 06 plates forwards I think.
VW supplied no specs, no useful instructions and no method to remove it. Joy!

god knows, just thought there may be certain similarities. i wouldnt like to start ripping it apart, i had a brand new mitsty, didnt even want to touch it!

Hi
The unit in the Golf V is an RCD300 - is this what you mean ? it is quite easy to remove, but some trim removal is needed first.
If you go over to ukmkivs, in the DIY Guides section, there is a detailed instruction page on how to remove / replace it.

Thanks man but the RCD300 has rounded corners and the screw mounts - nice guide btw.
The RCD200 has square corners and has four slots, one at each corner which the keys I bought are supposed to fit in!
No success thus far..... :nerd:
