Title: Attaching amp board, Have a Look!
Post by: Paulo_Gti on 21 April 2007, 13:15
Im in the process of organising my boot space and phase 1 is putting my two amps somewhere... ive made a sidewall out of wood and its cut to fit but i need to secure it somehow...?

Any ideas, i would have just self tapped it to the inner arch but the fuel tank is around that area!

Just to let you know i will be covering it with carpet!

I have this problem.  I thought of either making "L" flanges and gluing/screwing to the floor and top where possible but its still only theory at the moment, i havn't looked to see exactly where it could go

probably if i was more gifted with my tools i would have made it fit upto the back seat and screwed a bracket onto there but it kinda defeats the object of putting the seats down if needed!

this is what i did with my boot, its all 100% remoovable via clips (for the wires) and room for all the tools and bits n bobs underneath fink it looks good 2

You shoudl try to do this guys if you have the time. Its easily removable if ur wanting it in and out.Yeh its been made for a sub but if you were to modify the front of it slightly when building it then it could do exactly what you want.
Im planning on doing it when i have the time.Bought the fibre glass and resin and everything at the weekend for it.
Here you go,its worth a look.
