Title: Front struts

Does anyone know where i can get new front struts?
I have koni inserts but my old struts are rusted badly and everywhere only seems to sell the inserts.

I'm a bit reluctant to go to the main dealer, anyone know how much this would cost?

GSF said they used to sell them but only do the damper inserts now  :sad:

Just had a look on ETKA, looks like VW only give a part number for the full strut assembley.
If it comes to it i could buy a full unit and change the damper inserts, but i'm really hoping i can get the housing on its own.

Also noticed the parts 171 411 139 & 171 411 140, labelled packing, that go between the spring and the spring carriers. I dont have these, anyone know if they make any difference, anti noise maybe?
