Title: Paint Code for MK2 GTI

I'm looking for the paint code for my MK2....

Its a silver 1990 8v.  There is no number in the boot or front wing (its got a vented one now)

Its the original colour, I need the code to get the car fully repainted....

Does anyone know what it is or how to found out what it is?

get VW to do a chassis number check to find the code?

it might have is stamped on the VIN plate also

i think it maybe:

Diamond Silver CC Metallic (L97A)

but this comes under jetta on this site

I think its a pretty rare colour :)

diamond silver was a popular colour and was also used on the golf Models, I did a look up on ETKA and theyre are a few silvers listed for the 1990 model year.

Go into your local dealer and ask them to look up your cars details.

You don't even need the chassis number, they do it from your reg number.
