Title: Fitted my raffle prize from skeg-vegas at the weekend
Post by: tobz. on 19 April 2007, 10:29
This saturday I finally got round to fitting the ANSA backbox that I won in the raffle at the skeg-vegas show. I'm pretty happy with the fit, it's not perfectly central in the bumper cutout and I 've already unbolted the rear mount and turned it round. It definately looks better than the manky standard box that was on there so it will stay until I can afford the full milltek I desire!!!

My only minor dissapointment was that my car is now quieter than when it had the standard backbox on it
Wanted a discrete pipe anyway but a little rort at full throttle would have been nice.

Nah in the pics is the best I can get it to sit. The edge of the box is only about 10mm from the bottom of the shock. Doesn't bang at all but if I tried pulling it over with a shorter hanger it probably would.

Yep my car is steadily creeping away from the standard look now Gibby, seriously considering some crystal headlamps after handling some at the pod. Keeping all my standard parts squirrelled away of course for when the standard look becomes the next big thing.

I'm not a lover of crystals Tobz to be honest, I much prefer the standard onesBut as you say, keep all the orig bits for when the fashion trends change.

Cheers for the offer tank but oxford is a bit of a trek for me for something I can pick up pretty cheap anyway.

I'm in cambridge so it would be about a 200mile round trip cheers anyway.

Yeah Gibby I've never been sure about crystals but when we were sat in front of our cars at mcd's on the way home on sunday I decided the OEM lamps look at little bit fussy. It was then pointed out to me of course that I would need to do something with the fogs as they look a bit grubby :( Ah the list is always endless!!!

Heh heh there is that aswell of course, still undecided on this one. Will probably go for a set at the next big show and see what I think. Definately just standard crystals though Neaty, crosshairs are a bit too racerish for me.
