Title: Tailgate decals
Post by: Thom89 on 18 April 2007, 00:24: Some months ago, someone was reproducing textured tailgate decals... cant remember who it was, are they still available? if you fitted one to your car, does it still look good! and lastly, did you buy one, and not get around to fitting it for whatever reason, and now thinking about selling it on
Im looking for a 100% mint decal, with NO wiper or washer jet holes cut

I think on a darker car you can get away without having one.. My car is Jade, and would look like something is missing..
Thanks for the info/links guys, i'll give it a little longer to see if anything turns up here.
My Dub is 90% finished now, and should be on the road in the next 2/3 weeks..

I've tried PM'ing him through a number of forums, but perhaps he doesn't own a dub anymore, therefore isn't bothered.

Post by: jbj on 19 April 2007, 12:57: Can you get small sections of it? My decal only has 4 or 4 nicks from it and I reckon it'd be easy, and look loads better than it does now, to fill the gaps with carefully cut sections.

Post by: rubjonny on 19 April 2007, 12:59: yeah go to the stealers and ask for a MK3 polo or MK2 Jetta door window trim strip, the bit on the pillars between the door/rear windows.
These are the same material as the hatch trim and pretty small :)
