Title: Bio Diesel
Post by: Ridg on 17 April 2007, 11:49
I know i asked that question before about cooking oil and alternative fuels, however this is regarding proper bio

So does anyone know if you can run Bio without any problems?  I'm aware that you would have to change the fuel filter after the first few hundred miles, as the bio is mean to strips the gunk out, but is it going to mess up my engine.

I’ve got a TDI 150PD code ARL, has anyone run bio in these or one of the other PD's either 100% or different mix.

thanks!

i've done a few google searches and it looks like there are quite a few people that had run bio in PD engines without problems.

I just need to find somewhere to get an electric pump from as my mate (who runs a courier depot) can sell it to me @ 75p a liter in either 205l drums or 1000l ibc's

I've ran mine on Shell Diesel Extra since I've had her, getting 43-53mpg, and performance is pretty good for a big diesel barge.

I've always been concerned about running PD's on bio diesel, anyone else had any experience?
