Title: Brake Disc size

need new brake discs for 16v gti, choice of 280mm or 288mm for the front...will the brake calipers that are in the car fit both discs sizes? didnt get the chance to take out the discs ive in at the mo but assume their 280mm in the front and 226mm in the back.

What year is your car? cos pre 96 cars have the 280mm discs, 96 on 288mm for all GTIs and vr6.

its a 1995 so the 288mm disc wont fit the calipers that are installed?

if i were you id stick with th 280s not 100% sure if the 288s will fit straight on.....seen a thread on clubgti bout this...head on over and check it out.

hi do what i did to my mk3 i got the mk4 v6 4motion brake setup 312mm and you just need to add spacers and slight longer bolts
