After getting info from here, much obliged I have solved the problem of leaking door membrane on the drivers door, water was leaking here and running along inner sill into drivers footwell.
After finding this I thought that was it. After leaving car over two days came back to find puddle of water yet again on drivers footwell, now I have checked the door membrane and it is ok, also there are no probs with leaves under the bulkhead cover (infact it appears bone dry here). There isnt a problem with the bonnet release either.
Is it most possibly leaking via the windscreen, the water does appear to be dripping from the cluth pedal but it appears dry at the bulkhead for the clutch.

have you checked all your grommets in the firewall?

ive got the samer problem but ive found that its coming in from the windscreen!!! a little bit of rust under the seal is to blame but saying that there is a 5" hole causing it....just a thought

check the grommets in the firewall for definate, cos i had one missing and it soaked my passenger footwell, check the ones in the scuttle as well
