Hi guys,

I have a golf gti j plate and am having a major fueling

problem  :'( The car stutters and jerks all over the place

and i get a real strong smell of fuel. I'll done a service

replacing all the spark plugs, leads dizzy cap and

arm and no change. :-/ Now im thinking it could be the

lamder sensor ??? i think the mixture is way wrong as

im always getting vapour out of the exhaust even

when its warmed up, and ideas anyone  ???

Hey i am getting a similar fuel smell but wioutout the side effects. Very off putting garage hasnt a clue

try your fuel pump relay,
had a similar problem recently turned out to be relay.
cost about 12 quid i think

Have seem a few of these with coolant temp sensor faults, causing the fuel injection to think that the engine is cold all the time. Worth a look, good luck, Steve.
