Post by: [han] on 14 April 2007, 13:06
ok guys im sat at the tyre place using their internet to check the forum, while waiting for 4 tyres to be fitted!

Costing me £160 all in for 4 Pirelli tyres fitted! Is this good or bad? How much do you guys pay for tyres?

not too bad, I can get 15" toyo proxes fitted for £35 a corner round here :)

I'd say thats pretty sh!t!

Pirelli's are crap tyres no grip at all especially in the wet, I got 2x Toyo Proxes T1-R & 2x Toyo Proxes T1-S 195/50/15" brand new including fitting & delivery for £152 and they are far far better tyres!

next time check out: TopGear.co.uk (delivers & fits to a local center near you)

I'm currently after 2x 195 45 15s for the Golf and 2x 225 40 18 for my leon cupra R - I'm discovering I could put 4 tyres on the golf for the same price as one for the leon :(

Dinx

sorted? the cars been at the garage for two days and im sooo upset, and it took an idiot RAC man 2 hours to look at it, in the end i had to give him the haynes and prove that the fuel pump is not under my seat, and what he was testing was not the pump. Idiot! he wasnt even old enough to tow me to the garage so i had to wait for another flatbed Grrrr!

and to top things off, he then used the haynes to try and find the problem - by looking at the carb engine sectoin, i told him it was a GTi and tbh, you'd think an RAC man can tell the diffrence between multi-point injection and a carb engine if i can!?!?!?!?!

AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHH rant over now guys (but there will be mroe to come i promise)

All i'll say is it just proves my theory that Cabbys are for women purely cos women can only look good in 'em, and women.. like money being spent on them and like to be irrational in their behaviour

Hope everything gets sorted Han

Post by: dub_Driver on 02 May 2007, 13:44

Dont worry it will be fine, its just the garage across the road from you are quite exspensive. Id be more worried about the labour costs, the work will be fine, and Beryl will be brapping along shortly
Title: Re: grrrr....
Post by: [han] on 02 May 2007, 18:43
they're not expensive, i dont have to take it back a million times like paragon garage.

plus they do odd bits for me all teh time, like when i need to top up oil and coolant they dont charge me, an d they do my tyres!
Title: Re: grrrr....
Post by: dub_Driver on 03 May 2007, 09:52

You took it back once, how many times did them lot screw up your gears tho??

Hannah they charged you £10 at Paragon to fit a linkage, and it was there fault a par was already broken..

Post by: [han] on 04 May 2007, 09:29
 no! i use a garage who i trust, and i pay a good rate locally, its not worth me paying out half a tnak of fuel just to get to a good garage tbh! makes it not worth while!

Metering head has finally arrived, after 4 days! argh! might get it fitted this afternoon, if not i'll have to wait til next thursday, god damn the f**king bank holiday.

I WANT MY CAR BACK it's been over a WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!
