Title: Air Bag suspention

sorry if i'm in the wrong place for this still new trying to find the right places anyways

I was thinking of putting Air bag suspention in the car just a couple questions

1. is it legal

2. is it going to cost alot more in insurance

3. would it look cool i guess thats my real question

1 yes
2 possibly depends on insurer
3 for some people yes, for some no

If you are woried about the cost of insurance why are you even considering air suspension?
Do you know what it actually involves?
The tanks, the pumps, the new struts?

A simple system of seperate front and rear will cost about £1500 fitted.
Plus you lose boot space for the pumps and tank.

Check out somebody like Rayvern Hydraulics. They are the top guys in this country having brought over the technology from the USA, where lowriding started.

it's bout £1600 for a DIY kit, and you're looking about 2k-3k for a good kit, if you want PM me for details, i can give you contact details of two guys i know, :)

I know a couple of guys in Lowrider Clubs. One is the Cheesracers, based around Cheshire. The other guy is around Brum but I'm sure there are clubs etc. up your way mate.

cheers for all the replies i'm not worried about insurance just wondering if i looking at double the quote without them and i know i'm going to spend alot of the system. I do know about all the stuff needed to fit into the car but i'm not a shopper so who need the boot.

Best ask the Lowrider guys about insurance, unless our resident expert can assist!
