Title: mk2 gti with mk3 seats????

Has anyone here fitted mk3 seats into there mk2 gti??

im thinking of changing mine as they are looking pretty tired. ive got the rainbow interior in a 5dr 8v gti. but cant find a decent rainbow drivers seat!  :cry:

wanted to know if the mk3s would fit straight in or not? im open to suggestions

they arn't a direct swap no, the fronts have the legs spaced too far apart, and for the rears you need to bolt the seat back middle hinges together (if its a split fold) becasue on a MK2 theres nowhere to bolt them down.

To make the fronts fit you can fit the base upright, fabric & foam to a 90 spec GTI seat base frame, then they'll fit :)
