Title: cabrio hood makers/fitters

i'm looking for a company near/in north yorkshire who can supply and fit, or jsut fit a cabriolet roof on my mk1.

not sure what to google to get info... cabriolet roof fitters? convertible roof fitter? mainly getting car ad's up,.

names of companies who might travel is good too.

I used www.carhood.com. They were great and came to my house to fit it too.
Took a few hours to do. But just e-mailed them my queries and they answered pretty quick.

mine was carhoodsnorthern han...they is sh!te..althou im deffo gettin that scratch sorted some time soon :afro:
think carhoods are a dif company..

yeah i text gibby yesterday and he sent me the number of the guy who did his in wilsden in bardford. not gunna go with people you used... not after your sh!te with them!

dad knows a guy in york too.. who makes custom roofs too, so gunna have a word with him.

Han, you've got the number of the guy that put mine on, but I bought the hood myself and just had it delivered to his lock up. I got my hood from these http://www.soft-tops.co.uk/ I'd say it wasn't as good as the original but it was a decent roof, you've seen it and I never had any problems with it and even though my cab wasn't garaged (I made sure I kept it clean and protected with that Autoglym stuff) I think it looked as good when I sold it two years later. You could also try these people, http://www.autohoods.co.uk/list_volkswagen.htm but if I remember correctly they were more expensive. :smiley:

Hi, let me in on this one, just priced a hood for my mk3 with these, they do other colours too, prob have to pay a customs fee after delivery but still work out pretty cheap.   :smiley:
