Just changed the ISV on my valver and guess what it still won't idle. Any idea's very limited mechanical knowledge.
-
tested for vacuum leaks? CO, Timing etc.. set correctly, will hunt if CO is not right
Also ISV control module (controls the ISV!!!!) located under steering wheel, or thereabouts depends if someone has moved it when fitting alarms etc... Try and find one on ebay cost it will cost a fortune new from stealers!
I also changed hall sender, as mine kept cutting out when you dipped the clutch, all OK now - Touch wood!!!
-
where is the hall sender located? as my revs drop when i dip the clutch but it never stalls just dips very low and sometimes the red battery light comes on

hall sender is part of of the dizzy, its easier to fit a complete new dizzy (about £80 from VAG on exchange IIRC), the Hall sender is about £30 from GSF, but you have to strip down the dizzy to fit it.
