Title: tornado pink help!
Post by: maximk2 on 07 April 2007, 01:32
I have had my car down in southern spain a year now and the effect of the sun the paint is not the nicest. Wondered if any one knows of a good product that could cut the first layer off so I can stop my car from turning into Liberaces run about? please help cos a respray is too pricey for me at the mo tbh.

FARÉCLA G3 even ^^

Forget T-Cut or anything, Get some Rubbing Compound like G3 and a MOP if possible, Hand is ok, just you will need to sleep for a few weeks after doing a whole car!! :D

well im a lazy git so was gonna get some of this stuff then take the car to a proffesional to do it. tis a bit hard to put wax on over here as it just dries in the sun and ends up looking like some dirty hippy wagen so was gonna get em to do that to. How good is this stuff and will it make it look good as new?

Being serious I wouldnt even attempt to polish a red car in strong sun light never mind going over it with G3, your best bet would be to get it inside (if you can) so it could cool down and be out of direct sun light. When I did mine I started quite late at night (about 7.30 - 8.00 ish) and then started again the next day at about 6.30 am and I did a panel at a time starting with the roof.

P.S. It is good stuff but I think its fair to say that the best results would be to get it done with a mop and by               someone who knows what they are doing, although I'm happy with the results I got doing mine by hand.

any idea where I can get some of that G3 stuff on the net cos theyre bound not to have it out here. I went to get some oil a while back and went to a big wholesale place and BP seem to have a monopoly out here so doubt Ill be able to get anything as specialist as that. Id probably just end up being sold sand paper and a spray can!
