Title: VR6 exhaust fitting
Post by: alger on 02 April 2007, 17:32
How much would you expect to pay for a full exhaust system bar the downpipe (including labour) for a VR6?

Cheers,

Yea thats about the right money for a full system mate. The cheeper route would just be a back box but the only problem is it dont mater what box you have on the back they dont make hardley any extra noise if thats what your after. My VR has got a stainless back box and you cant even tell its there my brothers old mk3 VR was the same, his old mk2 VR had a straight throgh and it sounded like a rally car and his new Vr  has just got a back box and you cant hear that either. Ive been told that the main culprit for this is the very restrictive large middle box so i have found a guy who makes exaustes and im going to take the middle box off and get him to bend me a pipe to fit in its place hopefuly this should give me a few more Db and maybe an extra 2 bhp if im lucky.
