Title: Glove Box Removal
Post by: percymon on 02 April 2007, 15:57
Anyone know how to remove the glovebox (no passenger airbag) ??

Installed the new headunit last week and left the ipod connection cable loose under/behind the stereo, but i need to route it into the glovebox itself now.

I've removed the two screws in the roof of the glovebox and the glovebox now rocks suggesting its loose at the top, but still afixed at the bottom somewhere ??????

You need to start from the bottom and work up... undo two screws, one at either side of the bottom of the tray beneath the glovebox, then undo three screws in the roof of the same tray - the tray will then come away. This will uncover 3 8mm head bolts that secure the bottom of the glovebox... and bob's ur uncle!

Cheers m8 - once i got home tonight and had a torch handy, i could see the extra bolts - 10 minutes later the ipod cable was through, working and all boxed up again  :smug: :smug:
