Details below. Please note actual lb/ft are, where given, at the wheels not at the flywheel (all other figures are at the flywheel).
Please PM me if any details are incorrect or if you would like to populate fields currently marked with a '?'. I'm missing a couple of photos of a few car's that were on the rollers - feel free to PM me the hosted address and I'll add them to the below write up. Big thanks to Alex for covering 99% of the day.

Go RubJonny !
-
Details below. Please note actual lb/ft are, where given, at the wheels not at the flywheel
you 100% sure about that?
-
Well I wasnt totally sure about my results but now I have seen all of them I can feel confident of the figures!
Thanks to the guys at Storm.
Big thanks to Simon and also for the food ticket!
Shame there's no photo of Billy's car, but made up for it by getting both him and me in the shot of my car!
-
Was some nice cars up there. I did like the MK2 conversions in the work shop. Very tidy indeed.

yep

I didn't get a chance to take any photos so am limited to other people's albums. I'm sure one will pop up when other people download their shots.
-
not being funny, but those figures seem very generous?
-
I think the first 4 or 5 are spot on...after that they seem to be a wee bit generous (10bhp). At the end of the day, the rollers are steel so as they get hot and more and more polished wheel slip will end up doing that.
-
I dunno Simon, I was watching the guy set the cars and he was definitely trying to pitch each one in a different place, alternating as much as he could.
-
Those figures look way out to be at the wheels. In some cases almost +30bhp at the wheels over what they are measured from factory.
-
In my case the bhp figure quoted is the ESTIMATED flywheel figure.
My actual at the wheels figure was 130.30 bhp.
What Simon was asked about was the lbs/ft figure and again they were at the wheels figures.
The machine was giving live readings at the wheels. So the flywheel bhp was on the count back method of the drag of the rollers on throttle off slow down.

Which ones?
-
Looked like a great day...work called though
I was up there last week with the Mk1 and got 180bhp and 150ft/lbs after they sorted the fueling...and with a blowing 'zorst...will have to go up to them again soon.
-
load of bollix.......
-
at wheels! take your car there for mot, winner!
-
Nice little write up and good pics there. :afro: I must admit though that i have to agree that those figures seem a little bit on the very generous side. Are we to believe that Len has gained 20+bhp since we did the RR at WRC 18 months ago. :undecided: Unless those two reflectors on his back bumper really do give an extra 10bhp each !
-
I must admit I am a little sceptical. I mean I know the exhaust made a difference to the power and torque, but it dont feel that much!
There is however a big difference in the power curve, in that it is now a straight line to a very narrow rev range. Basically over two runs that were almost identical the peak power was at 5810 to 5840.
Whereas the last time there was a curve where the power fluctuated 2 or 3 bhp over 500 revs.
So there is a dramatic difference.
What is happening now is the standard chip is doing what a "superchip" would do. This only happens apparently with the ABF engine fitted with the later chip.
Oh the reflectors have always been there! Well since I fitted the blue rear clusters, which was nearly 4 years ago! Before I knew you lot!
-
Did seem a little to good to be true, the Rallye was not allowed to play as no 4WD and they would not allow the Tuscan on. Shame really. The one at WRC was state of the art and as he said there is no disputing the figures on that rolling road.
I was not convinced but I must say the guys down there were top lads and very knowledgeable. I just love the 3.2 MK2 conversion!
-
I just love the 3.2 MK2 conversion!
Aye, that did stick out for me too from the pics, looked quality.
-
There were two there, one supercharged and one not.
If I get chance I'll probably go to one of those Reading sessions and see what I get there.
-

The one with the Rotrex blower looked the nads! They can Rotrex the G60 for a bigger increase! ...............................................................
-
Well this is it, the explaination they gave me was plausible.
-
Len, if you have any douts about your BHP, Blokie has arranged a rolling road in salisbury on 14th April if you wish to attend?
I was thinking of doing something with my golf and see the difference , But im scared the BHP will go down!!!!!
-
Well im sure the results were 10% generous, but is my pic anyway.
