Hi Guys
First post and all, currently driving a Leon Cupra 20VT, been looking at making the swap over to the Golf Gti, i have found / been offered by an independent dealer a 06, with 6k on the clock ,18" Monza Alloys, full leather, cruise control, FSH, for 17.5k OTR and giving me the full px ex value according to glasses guide for my Leon, so to me looks like a good deal ? Anyone think i could do better by looking round some more, i really dont want to sell my leon private can be bothered with the hassle, and plus the p/ex and private prices are pretty close, and from what ive seen on autotrader etc thats seems like a good price for the golf especially compared to Volkswagen stealers?
Any thoughts
TIA

seems a good deal to me. you have just got to haggle as much as you can. hope you get your gti m8.

Thanks for the reply, yeah thats the best im gonna get on the haggle front, and like i say compared to other GTi's on autotrader, volkswagen used car site, its seems like a really good deal, and hence hard to press him any further as he knows it as well lol. Just always that feeling when buying a car, could i get it slighlty cheaper anywhere else.
I enjoyed the test drive, different sensation the my leon, the leon has more of a torque kick to it i think, the golf it alot more free and quick revving, and the handling of the golf is in a different league tbh, good fun.

Good deal mate - snap it up!

Yeah the more i think about it the more i think im gonna go for it, never spent this much money before on a car, let alone a used one

Is it a UK dealer car, a uk spec car or a parallel import model?

It a uk dealer car, 1 previous owner FSH  Take it that still makes it a good deal ?

shame the dealer is shut otherwise I'd be down there right now to seal the deal!!! get down there 1st thing before he changes his mind!!

In that case it is a very good deal.
I'd just try and squeeze him for a full tank of fuel and ensure he pays for taxing if it needs it.
He can only say no
