i wanna bid for this car at the last minute.
can you tell me if this looks worth bidding for? it looks fantastic, not to over kitted but not under kitted.
how much do you think it will go for? anything inperticular to look out for?
thanks in advance

says it smoke's some times?? thats not the best as it means oil is getting burnt, it may need new piston rings but if you have the time or the money i suppose its no a biggy! oh by the way it seems to have too many doors!
-
hard to tell without seeing it and having a test drive?
To be completely honest, it's a 5 door, so i'd always be wishing it only had 3! Plus scratches dents and a bit smokey? and those wheels suck.
I'd walk away if it goes above £350.

thanks for the advice.
i quite liked the wheels

shed. 150 quid tops.
-
i didn't mean to sound harsh, its just that there are so many nice wheel options out there, and fitting a cheap 5 spoke is a good way to knock some serious value off of the car.

couldnt have said it better myself.
but a shed with wheels could b useful.. im sure u could find a better runner :undecided:
- how much u got to spend??

sorry 4 slow reply---i got about £600. I am gonna bid and hopefully egt it low and rebuild it/work on it.
u know, like a project thing----

na dont do it mate, you can get alot nicer example for 600 quid maybe a nice 3 door! i think you would end up spending alot of cash on it! but thats my advice, its up to you dude!

i agree. with no tax or test i wouldnt waste looking at its pics again.. ur easily gonna
bounce thru ur budget getting it on the road anyway.
i would hold out a bit longer for the right one or how about this enthusiast owned and with some time to enjoy it b4 the test is due http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=56815.0

if you want a mk2 id get the loot free ads etc early in the morning ive found some very tidy golfs for £600 and less some people just think its a old motor and price them low just get in their quick the problem with ebay even if the owner doesnt know what its worth the bidders do and with the demand these cars are going up in value and getting good money
