Hi,
Just thought I'd let loose a copy of an e-mail I've been sent by Milltek after my query about whether the ED30 was going to get an exhaust system from them.
Many thanks for your interest in Milltek Sport products. We are currently just finishing development on the Audi S3 which although its higher output than your Edition 30 Golf , utilises the same turbo so we feel that well probably marry the Hi-Flow cat and downpipe from the S3 onto a modified Mk5 Gti rear assemble to form the basis for the Milltek system .
Availability planned for May 2007 .
Kind regards,
Louise Millington
Milltek Sport
Makes for interesting reading especially the bits about using the same turbo (which most of us have been debating).
As soon as it's out I'll be signing on the dotted line for one
Anyone got good/bad things for this product?
Anyone know what kind of performance advantages it would give with the sports cat included? bhp etc
Would it be best used on it's own? I've heard it is better to have an induction kit fitted at the same time, so is this true or false?

Hi Sean,
In that case would I be better off with something like the Oettinger ram air system?

Hi Sean,

I've not actually seen that, but I'm going to presume it is just a modified air intake (probably carbon fibre!), feeding a standard panel filter. If so, then it should be fine, though I would doubt any significant advantage could be gained over the standard air intake, which is also a ram air intake, albeit a by-pass type! :nerd:
