Well, it's rather more complicated that I think you realise!
A couple of places to do some reading:

To ask a silly question..... did it not come with instructions?
-
wouldn't matter if it did, still need a fair bit of modification to get it to fit.
-
funnily enough no instructions. i never expected it to be easy, just fun!! Anyone on here done it before?
-
I can't help with the charger, but I did see your car at teh Pod last weekend!!!!

Nice ride mate, good luck with the charger!

way more work than just bolting it on were talking g60 engine or modding yours for low compression pipe work intercooler(i think) probally head work a cam to suit at least some sort of fuel management its a major job the most cost effective way would probally be buying the whole lot off a g60 everything and start from their how much was that charger ive had a few impulse buys but that beats them all
-
phew for a minute there i could have sworn i wa in a vauxhall forum, scary
-
unless you have access to a milling machine and are going to custom fabricate all your own parts, it'll be a lot cheaper and easier to sell that blower and invest in a G60 swap (you'd need parts from there anyway.. ecu etc.)
did the bloke you bought it off say it was a straight forward fit?
-
Hi mate its not as hard as you think. To start with yeah you do need to lower the compression slightly (unless you are planning to run really low pressure). you can do this by fitting either 2 headgaskets or a spacer gasket and headgasket or getting your piston slightly milled.
I wouldnt bother changing the cam or doing headwork unless you change your head for a g60 one as i think they have bigger valves
You will need to make your own brackets and intercooler pipework but that will be obvious if you put it in the engine bay. Usually down by the power steering pump.
As for engine management buy something like megasquirt and you can also get a wiring loom from them as well.
Also look for nando on the e38 forum he has picks of him doing it and you will see how it fits.
if i can find it all i have a bit of info in doing it and will pm it to you

Don't the eatons use a stand alone oil supply too? :undecided:
-
erm, unsure actually....
The guy i bought it from saaid that as long as i run low preasure which i am planning to do anyway for the time being its fairly straight forward!
Just mounts and pipe work...
I already run a fully chipped and re-mapped ecu, full race manifold etc etc... only wanna run about 6, maybe 7psi?
Cheers for all the help, and that is a cool pic of my old girl at pod thanks!! Was up with my car club... not the best quarter mile time in the world ever... [moveshhhh 17.1secs.....[/move]

I think the guy was talking out is backside I'm afraid mate. As already stated in earlier posts you'll need a new managment system, low comp pistons etc, etc, etc. Your re mapped ecu will be mapped to your currnet fueling, cams etc so thats going to be usless. Even if you only do as Ryan says, you've already blown over 1k. Then you'll need it R R'd to get it set up. Bear in mind my mate just sold a FULL G60 setup for less than 1k.
Seriously mate, unless you got a few grand laying around, stick the eaton back on ebay & if you just want a bolt on mod go for Nitrous Oxide, 50-75bhp extra out the box.

i was there and had a nose at your car, but didnt see it go up the strip... the oldskool scirroco mk1 was mental (pulling wheelies!) and that black mk2 golf doing over 120 at the finish and about 12.5 seconds... he embarressed those skylines...
