RIght i keep setting the clock on my valver but every time i start it up it just jumps back to 00:00 it's getting really annoying...
Anyone know how to solve this problem?
-
you've probably got a dead battery, take it to halfords and they'll test for free!
-
But surely mr RJ having a dead battery would not allow him to start it up each morning.
-
depends how dead the battery is ;)
the clock in my girlfriends AX would loose time, but always start. Replaced the battery and it never did it again
-
those crazy frenchies....
I am amazed quite frankly you allowed your missus to have such a sub standard car.
-
The ax isnt so bad, unless you're in one when it crashes
Though everything went wrong on it after we bought it, bloody thing. Not impressed with the french idea of wiring either!

battery's fully charged gentlmen any other ideas?
-
bad connection? RJ...Where is the earth for the MFA ? what about a loose fuse?
-
Does the clock stay on when you turn the ignition off?
-
the earth is in one of the pins to the clocks, check my fusebox FAQ in the garage section. The braided earth from the rocker cover to the coil bracket also affects the dash as well, so check that too.
The battery may be fully charged, but that doesn't mean it isn't broken and not holding enough to keep the clock alive when you crank the engine ;)
I remember our Polo had this problem as well, turned out the alarm was draining the battery...
