Title: TDI Tuning Boxes
Post by: Bluefox on 26 March 2007, 23:26
Hey folks,

TDI Tuning Boxes. Thinking of getting one?

Just wanted to post this thread here. It's from another website, but it's got details of my experiences with a TDI Tuning Box I purchased from eBay.

Slick#13 will back me up here, I took a punt on it having read various opinions on here and other sites, and thought I'd take a punt. A fairly expensive punt, I'm sure you'll agree.

Just wanted to do this to end the "Tuning Box" debate - save your cash, get a decent remap of a box like a Revo.

Still thinking of buying one...?

what did u expect for 50 quid???   i've had a tunit tuning box on my gt tdi 130 and it was really good but they retail at £450 and the psi tuning boxes are good to.

i'd love to know how many people pay £50 for a 2p resistor

Nice experiment, shame it ended the way it did. Unfortunately that bloke will keep on selling those things and keep his clean ebay history thanks to people taking the cheap route.

Thanks Toph.
It was exactly that, an experiment. I never expected it to be a substitute for a remap, I wanted to know what could be done for a nifty fifty. Fact of the matter is I can't justify £400+vat for a remap.

Guess I found out! :)
