Title: 1996 mk3 golf gti 16v anniversary
Post by: anniversary16vgti on 25 March 2007, 17:38
Hi people,

I have a 3-door version of the mk3 anniversary gti 16v. I believe it is one of 150??!  It is in very good condition and all electrics etc are working fine. Only downer is some corrosion on the 16" BBS alloys. It has only done 39k (genuine mileage due to being from the channel islands) and i am looking to sell very soon. What should i be asking for it??

You haven't told us about the service history, how many owners, mods etc.

You sure its an Anniversary? Thought all Anni's were 8v. :undecided:

If ur selling just coz its rare then you will have to find someone who thinks its worth what yer asking!

I think you'll be lucky to get £2500 for it, nearer 2 grand I think.

Len - There were 600 '8valve' models for the UK with a further 150 '16valve' models.

Cheers Andy

Sorry....... its had 2 previous owners and has a full service history. It hasn't been modded at all, other than having a Clifford Cat1 alarm/imobiliser system fitted. It has all the genuine anniversary trim, including red 16v and Gti badges/detailing, white dials, red brake callipers and red seat belts, Gti checkered seats, 16" split rim BBS, stainless twin exhaust, half alloy golf ball gear stick etc etc. Im in no doubt that its a genuine anniversary 16v- Really nice to drive and is a bit of a head-turner. Any other suggestions on what i should be asking for it??

Billy Vw paid £2200 middle of last year and got back what he paid when he sold it.
