wow, the seats look great!
-
The nuts!
-
 WOW
If I had a R32 it would look like that. May change the wheels but the rest ...
-
Well thanks a lot micalee - you've really made my day/night  I was trying to convince myself that I am really enjoying the Edition 30 with the manual but I can't keep the lie up anymore... I'm not and I want my Deep Pearl Blue DSG R32 back    The Edition 30 is great and imho better than the standard GTI but the R32 is something else... I keep thinking about it.  At least yours isn't Pearl Blue like mine was... otherwise I'd probably drive down to the dealer and do something stupid like order an R32 and lose a lot of money in the process.
-
stunning, R32's are just pornography to be honest
-
I want my Deep Pearl Blue DSG R32 back.
Had you not only just got that R32?
-
Stunning! Black is one of the nicest looking colours when its well polished. Its just a shame it doesnt last that way for very long with the UK weather!!
I dont know what everyone has against the R32 wheels - I quite like them!

I agree with you p3eps, I love all the Golf Mk5s. Its down to individual taste, I was very close to getting the R32 but just thought the Ed30 was a little bit more special due to it being limited to only 1500. Before everybody shouts me down, thats my personal opinion and I still love the R32.
-
I am due to change my wheels to the RS4 ones - I sort of like the R32 alloys, look good when clean but such a twit to keep clean.
-
Very nice indeed, looks fantastic.
-
:smug: illyan oh illyan , really feel for you my friend, isnt their a 28 day return policy! its never too late , and yes you know its coming but isnt a case of "told you so", sorry you should never had sold your R32, that in my opinion and will always be "the cut above" the GTi
cracking pictures micalee, awsome motor, just avoid that road tax from this country for as long as you can mate! take care bud

Absolutely gorgeous motor micalee but the DSG badge has to go in my opinion! Its not even in the same font and just adds chavtastic value.
People will know its a DSG when u launch it from the lights.

Yes :embarassed: :embarassed: :embarassed: I had it for 3 months, did 11k miles on it (10k in the first 2 months ) and part-ex'd it for my Edition 30. I had planned to keep it until September but decided to buy a house instead of keeping two cars worth a combined £55k
As Hully stated the Edition 30 is a limited edition car and one for my little collection - I have a 64k Mk1 Golf GTI Campaign and a 3-door Oak Green Mk2 16v with 79k on the clock which is my daily driver. I will put my name down for an R36 later this year for delivery next year - September - and may keep it and supercharge it although if Gordon Brown keeps going with the taxes the way he is then that might not happen.

Mixed opinions on this one from everyone on previous posts! I like the badge and granted, the font is different. The one i have on the interior passenger size is a better font but you need a microscope to see it.

What level have you got those window tints at? (assuming they are legal of course ) And how much? (apologies if I have missed a post about this somewhere else!)

I am due to change my wheels to the RS4 ones
Why not go the whole hog, and get the car which is attached to the RS4 rims ????
I'm collecting mine this Friday - dare I post my pics?? Will I need a flack jacket?? :smug:  :smug:
-
An RS4 would be magic!! I have looked at many of these at dealers and even been sad enough to watch the Audi Channel on Sky (page 884) but Im just to poor to afford one!
The tints are legal as they are on the back windows. The front are standard glass.
The gearstick surround comes from here:

Reference leaving the number plate on - I always post the pictures, then realise and i just cannot be bothered to go through them all. Ill edit them when i get spare half hour.
Many many thanks for the positive comments. (Get that RS4 up here when u get it)

What - they are still on show . . .

Get your RS4 on here, it is a VAG after all, and isn't it the same engine as in the ED30
I went in one about 4 months ago.....I still can't believe a car can go so fast (100mph) around an almost 90 deg bend. If I hadn't seen it on the clock I wouldn't have believed it. Fantastic noise from the engine / exhaust but the guy was an absolute looney! Great car and very very fast, but afterwards I did wonder how I was still alive! Money no object, it would have to be one of my top 5 cars (still practicle see!)

Aye, but my current S4 will handle nigh-on identically as the RS4. I just find the brakes on the S4 a little weak, which is why I went for the Carbon/Ceramics on the RS4.
Agreed about the exhaust note - did he show you the difference with the "S" button on the wheel, and the way the seat bolsters tighten up on you during hard cornering . . . . :smug: :smug: :smug: :smug:

I use photobucket to store alot of my photos. Easy to use and you can upload multiple pictures at once.

OK, thanks. Does it automatically re-size images, or do you have to manually do that before uploading?

You can resize the pics once you have uploaded onto photobucket. Used it the other night, very good service.

Aye, it's the upload speed that is painfull !!
BTW, what photo editing software do peeps use? I've got M$ Picture It Photo Standard 9, but I can never remember the best way to blank the number plates! doh

I use Corel Draw http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite?c=Content_C1&cid=1152796555406&lc=en&pagename=CorelCom%2FLayout It has many many effects you can apply to pictures. The one i use for number plates is called "swirl" You simply select the area you want to change and it applys that effect to it.
Or try here: http://www.download.com/CorelDRAW-Graphics-Suite/3000-2191_4-10501731.html?tag=lst-0-1
Its a 15 day free trial, but www.serialdevil.com is a brilliant place to get passwords and serials! nudge nudge say no more!

Hi there, new to this so aplologies if any errors. I have just ordered a 3 door GTi from VW dealer in Solid black with tinted rear windows. Everybody seams to go for diamond black, £365 option. Is it worth it? Also, do you think the rear tinted windows look best? Many thanks, nice car!
-
I have diamond black and as others have said on this forum, it looks good when clean, but its a b!tch to keep clean.
rear tints are good, esp for security, I would get them, as I paid £400 to have mine done at a third party company after I brought the car, although that did include the front windows, which they wont do at the factory.
-
I have gone for the factory tints. I spoke to the dealer about getting them done afterwards and he showed me a few examples. The side windows looked fine, but the rears didnt look right as they cant get it perfect round the strips in the heated glass. The factory tints are only £175 and the glass is actually tinted, rather than putting a film over plain glass.

Apologies and all that, but they're too dark - they make a nice car look like a van, imo.
